Time For A Macaroon Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

#1)  The early morning walk to the point and the paddle out was a ritual of which we never tired.

Some of the best surf we've had all year this morning under gray skies and less than 10 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore by 3 to 5kts and the sea surface had a roll going on.  The air was 51.5º and the water is 58.5º.  High tide was at 7:34am +5.1' and low tide is at 2:40pm -0.4' for a week of pm minus tides.  We have a west swell out of 265º at 3.9' and it was 3' to 5' with some bigger outsides and makeable shoulders...  Here (#2) a couple of the Redondo Team split the peak...

#3)  Hanging out at Ilianet's for breakfast, you could find characters from all over.  On this particular day it was Reetz, Suzi, Joey, Brendan, the Professor, LoLa, Capt. Don Congrejo, Buck and Doc?...  Some fine millinery happening...

In the evening the "Ocean Dwellers and Storytellers" event drew a full house (#4).  To kick off the evening Suzi and Joey did a duet and helped the sun go down in typical Saladitas fashion...
