A Bit Of A Warble Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Some days the conditions don't make a lot of sense.  Like this morning.  There was 10 miles visibility and wispy cirrus clouds.  Winds were offshore by 1 to 3kts and the sea surface was rolling with some odd surface currents.  The air temperature was 51.0º and the water was a full 10º warmer at 61.0º.  Low tide was early at 6:29am +2.0' and high tide will be at 11:51am +3.5'.  So it's a WSW swell out of 247º at 3.6', but it was 4' to 6' and turning inside-out on the new sand bars that have been forming.  The conveyor belt on the south side of the pier has been eradicated and if you tried to paddle out there you found yourself being sucked through the pier and deposited on the north side.  Our photograph shows a distinct warble, but really doesn't show how big some of the outside sets were...

The weather guy is calling for rain tonight and tomorrow and then an assortment of wind, rain and unstable weather conditions through the weekend.  We'll stay tuned and see how it pans out...
