Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

You know how you take off on a wave and you wonder, "What the hell is going on behind me?"  Maybe it's the noise?  Maybe a shadow?  So, Jah Morgan turned around and looked (#1) and much to her surprise the left she had taken off on had morphed into a double overhead zipper leaving 10th St. in a hurry.  Jah, Anna and Christian got some good ones and earlier Laurie and Milly we're paddling into some nice ones.

All of this as the day began to clear up.  It started out rainy and drizzly and then slowly came around to a partly cloudy morning with a rather brilliant sun coming through.  Winds were calm in the morning and the air was 57.3º and the water is 60.6º.  High tide was at 8:27am +6.1' and low tide follows at 3:41pm -0.9'.  It's a WSW swell out of 255º and at it's peak it was 5' to 8'+ and moving a lot of water...

Mañana Redondo High will be competing in their first dual meet against Peninsula (or Santa Monica) depending on who has finals or snow week or bus fare.  Contest will be at Hermosa Pier (south) and the first heat hits the water at 6:30am!  Contest will be on "Live Heats" and if you can't make it in person, you can follow it live...
