A Tenured Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We know you're looking at this photo (#1) and wondering, "What year was that?"  Well, hope you're sitting down!  It was this morning.  Yessirree!  It was clear and cold 40.1º in the air and the water was a nippy 59.7º.  Winds were consistent offshore at 3 to 6kts and the sea surface was smooth.  All of this seemed to be arranged to drop the wind chill down to 30-something.  High tide was at 6:51am +6.4' and low tide is at 2:25pm -1.2'.  We have a west swell out of 276º at 3.3' and it's breaking from 3' to 5' off of some of those new sandbars we've been watching.  Forecast is for little or no change for tomorrow morning, so you might be tempted to suit up and brave the chill.

As a note, we're working on a "SRUF Familia" website and we'll keep you abreast of the progress.  If things go according to plan, the report should land there as well and you can tell all those folks who have questions about our separate and collective manias where to look for answers.
