Full Moon Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Remember all of those old photos of the guys checking out Malibu, or Waimea, or Trestles?  Here's a newer version of the Topaz check, as the crew waits for the tide to go down:  L to R:  Don Swift, Sandy Malpee (Q.O.S.), Mark the Pool Man, Willy, Tom Horrigan, The Professor, Kevin "Buffalo" Holmes and ace photog Vinnie Imbriale...

Blowin' like an s.o.b. out of the SSE at 16.1kts, with white caps headed out to sea!  15 miles visibility and the skies are cloudy, looking like rain at any minute.  The air at checkout was 58.3° and the water is 57.2°.  High tide is at 8:44am +6.3' and low tide will follow at 3:21pm -1.1'.  The buoy is reading a SW swell out of 236° at 4.6'.  Topaz is 3' to 5' and somehow Sapphire didn't get the message, even as the tide continued to drop...

Our second photo is Andrew bisecting this long Topaz line as he ponders his next move.  No. 3 has Cory flying across this mid-sized peeler, doing about mach 2.  He's always around the sound barrier...  Speaking of:  Have you ever heard him do his impression of Mike Purpus?  If he was in the next room and you heard him, you might think it's Mike.

Tonight at Samba!  Around 6pm in the bar.  Be there or don't whine about missing all of the latest shit...
