Tachycardiac Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Seems like summer has come to an abrupt end this morning, with a bit of drizzle almost turning into for-real rain. But it was still sweet on Sunday when we snapped this first pic of Marco checking out the 'Bu. It was small and there were 9 guys sitting like ducks in the lineup, but you could tell there was all that potential. We spent the rest of the morning trying to find Jessica Alba's condo, only to discover she was at the Grammys and wasn't home all day! We brought the flowers home to send to Miloe and drank the six pack...

Like we said, drizzlies this morning with 10 miles visibility. Skies were fully clouded with rain in the forecast for the rest of the day today and on and off through the rest of the week. Winds were offshore by 2.3kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassy. The air temperature was a warmer 56.0° and the water is 57.9°. High tide was at 6:29am +5.9' and low tide will be at 1:41pm -1.0' as the tides get lower in the pms through the full-moon on Friday. The buoy is reading a rising swell at 2.3' at checkout and 3.3' at 1:30pm. It's out of the WSW 254° true. Currently it's about 2' to 3' with some stronger outsides. Topaz is starting and Sandyland has some bumps. Still walled along the Avenues, but Torrance is starting to show some corners. Pay attention...

Latest on the Miloe unit:
Hello All.....
OK here is the update. The trauma of the cut off branch spearing me in the R arm and chest ....was....'they all say" a good thing..a miracle that saved my life. As a result of the hospital trauma ward efforts, they fixed up my side fine...it just hurts like H. After 4 1/2 hrs the Doc ...really good looking lady!, came to me and said well...I have been on the phone consulting with all of the best heart surgeons in the state of Utah. We do not know why you are alive. If it were not for the tree, and coming here, we would not have done all of these test, and especially the CT scans. What we found is that you have the largest aneurysm of the ascending aorta we have ever seen. You have to have open heart surgery or you will die very soon. I will go in for surgery next Monday at Tor Memorial, specialist Dr. Raissi.
Asking Frank Paine who will get updates from Barbara to keep those of you interested informed. Appreciate the prayers.
Miloe
(We were passingly concerned until we got to the part that said "...really good looking lady!" then we knew he was going to be alright... Ed.)

Wow! Thanx for relaying the painful news about Miloe. Sorry to hear of it. Prayerful good wishes for a complete & prompt recovery. Having experienced some damage to my ribbinal areas -- I know it only hurts when he moves, tries to roll over, stands up, leans over, coughs, sneezes, breathes. . .
Paver MD (You forgot laughs... it only hurts when he laughs... Ed.)

Photo No. 2, "The Flying Barahona Brothers", Ché and Oscar. The Professor brought in an old beater and they stripped the glass off and reshaped the foam. Between the two of them they could tell that it was Walker Foam, the density of the blank, where it had yellowed through the rails and the fact that the saw cutting the stringer needed alignment... The Professor recognized it was a blank and that he should wear a mask so he couldn't be identified... No. 3...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
