Turban Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

You know how Topaz has that long left than lines up just to the south of Don Swift?  Here's a shot from Vinnie of Tommy Horrigan swinging around on his blue and yellow nine-footer, ready for a nice long ride to the rocks.  The second pic is Leonard Treadwell negotiating some tricky little splashes on his way to the inside speed run.  He's been waiting for his new fins to arrive - these are a bit too concave...  Looks like he's going pretty damned fast to us!

15 miles visibility this morning as the sun kept trying to pry it's way through the partly cloudy skies.  Winds were mainly offshore, though variable throughout the morning at 2 to 4kts.  The sea surface was sporting a tacky bump.  The air temperature was 53.2° and the water has been holding at 57.9°.  Low tide is at 6:10am +1.6' and high tide will be at 11:44am +3.3'.  We have a west swell out of 265° at 4.3' and it was a pretty fun 3' to 5' this morning.  Topaz got bumped up fast and a lot of the regulars migrated to Sandyland to catch a few of the cleaner offerings on that side.  Actually, some pretty wedgie peaks next to the jetty...

Mail:

(No offense taken!  God bless the production people - without them there is darkness...   Ed.)

The other power those wristbands seem to have is the ability to get $10-30 out of the suckers that wear them!

Photo #3:  Marco and LoLa closing in on the last leg of the Super Bowl 10k.  They broke an hour, could barely carry back all of the swag and Marco and the Professor caught Rat at low tide in the pm.

We ran across some great slogans from the protests in Egypt this weekend.  Maybe it's because of the internet, but they're slogans seem to be pretty fresh.  How about:
"Leave already - my arm is hurting" (a protester carrying a sign.)
"Mubarak - you go away - I go home."
"Which part of "Step Down" can I help you understand?"

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
