Plunk Your Magic Twanger Tuesday Surf & Culture Report (Froggy Gremlin)

Lost Boys & Co...

Here it is (#1) the El Russo, Bullet Model by José Barahona and inspired by Jetski himself...  Although the dimensions are secret, he might share them with you over a burrito...  When someone remarked that the glass job looked like a thin candy shell, Jetski (#2)wasted no time in giving it a nibble...

What do you mean how do we know that Doc ? was here? (#3)  By the time we caught up with him the wind was picking up from about 3kts from the north to almost 20kts from the west.  The sea surface was rough, but the skies are blue and the air was chilly at 51.0º.  The water at the buoy has been 54.3º and we're hoping when the wind stops it might take a turn toward the 60's.  It was high tide this morning at 5:45am +4.5', so that Aaron (#4) didn't have to walk so far to the pounding surf.  It was low at 1:21pm -0.1'.  We have a west swell out of 255º at 5.2' and it was 5' to 7' with some bigger outsides.

You can tell the surf wasn't all time because these three chargers (#5) were on the pier and not in the water.  From L. to R. we have Sal, Doc ? and Kawika...  While on our bike ride this morning we saw some guys riding waves inside the Horseshoe Pier.  A cop was just turning the corner as we rode by.  We wondered if he was going to call them out, but we were hoping he'd let them go.  Hell, George Freeth used to do it...
