Yellow Rumped Warbler Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

There was a Yellow Rumped Warbler on our bird feeder this morning...  This is what happens when there's no surf and you're staring out the window watching the rain come down.  Apparently the Yellow Rumped Warbler has no problem with the rain, unlike some people we know (and are...)

But we did venture forth and check out the surf this morning and you might imagine that there was the calm before the storm.  Photo #1 is designed to make it look twice as good as it was!  You can see the gray sky and low cloud ceiling as we hunkered down for the rain.  Probably 10 miles visibility.  The air temperature was 48.1º and the water is 56.8º.  Low tide was at 6:08am +0.5' and high tide will be at 12:07pm +3.8'.  We have a weather driven SW swell out of 231º at 2.0' and it was 1' and poor from the pier to 10th St. as you can see in photo #2...

#3)  Here have the album cover for "MoMo and the Mome Raths."  Formerly, "Jah Morgan and the Rubber Men" they now appear as "Little Mo-Peep and the Black Sheep."
