Were We Late For The Revolution Thursday Surf & Culture Report?

Lost Boys & Co...

Some strong, consistent surf this morning (#1), which might have been a little much for most longboarders.  Clear skies and 15 to 20 miles visibility, with winds out of the NE at 3 to 5kts.  The air temp was 45.5º and the water is 57.0º.  Low tide was at 7:26am +0.5' and high tide followed at 1:32pm +3.1'.  We had a SW swell out of 215º at 4.3' and it was a solid 4' to 5' and really needed a bit more tide for the best results.  Let's see how it responds mañana...

Yesterday after it rained the wind did a 180 and was straight offshore.  It was holding things up in Manhattan and about ear high (#2) and a little smaller in Hermosa (#3), but at least as much fun...

One of the collateral results of the storm and the persistent drizzle that continued was this great rainbow (#4) that presented itself over Veteran's Park and stopped traffic in the entire area for 15 minutes.  It might have been one of the most vivid rainbows we have ever seen...
