The Vernal Equinox Is Sometimes On Saturday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Having missed a couple of Surf & Culture Reports we thought we'd send out a Saturday Edition, plus it's the Vernal Equinox.  The sun crossed the line (imaginary) at 2:37am this morning PDT.  This marks the time when the sun crossed the celestial equator (also an imaginary line).  It rose at 6:56am at 89º E and will set tonight at 7:05pm 271º W.  If you're looking for the date when day and night were most equal, you'd have to go back to the 16th of March...  We dropped the ball on that one...

Some good surf this week!  Just look at Wednesday (#1), it was offshore and breaking way the hell out there.  It wasn't that big, but as the tide turned it got really good.  It was windy this morning and blowing from 7 to 10kts onshore, but yesterday (from top to bottom) Kelly, Kira, the Professor and Bacallao got some long rides from second reef Hermosa Bubbles to the tower at 10th!  But even with the wind this morning Dane Boy (#3) got some verts and snaps through the lumpy sections...

Maybe tomorrow the wind will calm down a bit and we can get some more organized sliders...
