Filing the Bars Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

How come Donnie Souther always looks so determined?  Maybe it's the vino?  On the other hand Monette and Ross look like they're having a great time...

Overcast this morning, trying desperately to clear.  10 miles visibility, with a bit of the marine haze.  Winds turned onshore early blowing 3.7kts about 9am and freshening to a full 12kts by noon.  The sea surface is tacked to light white caps.  The air temp was 60.1° at checkout and the water is 65.8° and finally feels like it.  Low tide at 8:50am +0.3' and high tide will follow at 3:"49pm +4.9'.  The buoy is reading a 3.9' swell out of 256° WSW and we're calling it 3' with fair shape...

Next report on Tuesday.  We'll be headed for a long weekend to Boise.  We hear that the Cherry Festival in Emmit is not to be missed.  They tell us that, even though we understand that the cherry crop is late this year and there might not be enough cherries for everyone to get one...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
