Monday Monday Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Our first shot is of the birthday "card" Swimmer Bill gave us this morning when he bought breakfast at Brother's.  Yep, it's a shell with all his personal information and his birthday greetings!  Pretty damned special!  LoLa thought this might be a good idea for business cards, except for the fact that they'd be a bit much to carry with you on your business trips.  Wait!  We don't have any business!

So, after a weekend of overcast, it's overcast again this morning with 7 miles visibility.  Winds were calm at the go out and the sea surface was glassy.  The air temperature was 61.3° and the water was 64.4°.  Low tide started things out this morning at 5:43am -1.4' and high tide will be at 12:24pm +3.9'.  The ever popular 46221 buoy is reading a SSW swell out of 201° true at 2.6' and we're calling it 2' to 3' with poor to fair conditions.  Long intervals, with small sets.

Then we have photo #2, which begs several questions:  Why so close?  Why so long?  What's with the long nose hair?  Close, because at that range it ceases to be a moustache and takes on more epic dimensions.  Long, because in October, the Professor's planning on going to the PTN Halloween party as Salvidor Dali and he needs the length (he says he'll cut the middle out just before.)  Nose hair, well he'd never seen a close up before and didn't really see all that foliage...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
