Try This For A Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Thanks to Gidget for this sunset photo from Venice (California, not Italy...)

Overcast and drizzlations this morning with one and a half miles visibility.  Winds were offshore or calm and the sea surface was smooth to a light tack.  The air temperature was 60.1° and the water is 62.6° and finally feels like it!  High tide was at 7:54am +3.2' and low tide will be at 12:30pm +2.0', so there's not a huge tidal variation this morning.  The buoy has a S swell out of 187° true at 4.3' and we're calling it 3' to 5' with a little more oomph than yesterday.  Fortunately, the oomph was perfectly rideable.  According to our sources, it could be windy for the next couple of days, with it turning around on Friday for a warmer, offshore weekend.  They also say the waves should be bigger!  Yippee!

We've been asked to tell you that there is a group going to the Buffalo Fire Dept. at around 5:30 on Friday and then over to Keegan's to see Boomfwappa and Flashbak.  This might mean foregoing the hot dogs at Keegan's.  Our recommendation:  Two martinis at the BFD and then all the dogs you can eat at Keegan's...
