Still Busted Well Head Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Starting with a reminder this morning, that if you want to go to the blog and see the photos and the report there, it's:  lostboysco.blogspot.com.  When we have extra photos or miscellaneous stuff we send it there...  If you're looking at this on the blog, well...  you knew all of that...

We took the attached photos last week while the installation crew was working Hermosa.  They're installing them from Zuma to Cabrillo Beach over the next few weeks.  The artwork is hand painted by school kids on the big plastic sheets that are shown around the tower.  Each section is signed by the student so they get a little skin in the game.  There are thick black coloring book lines that denote each color (like dude, stay in the lines!) so they know where and what color to paint.  The crew cuts the plastic to the exact dimensions of the tower's panels and drywall screws them into place.  Voila!  Just like that...

Overcast this morning with about 10 miles visibility.  Winds started off offshore out of the SE by 5.8kts and rapidly turned around just as fast.  The sea surface has a bit of a tack to it.  The air temperature is 59.7° and they're calling the water 60.1°, although everyone thinks it's a bit cooler.  Low tide is at 8:07am +0.3' and high tide will be at 3:20pm +3.7'.  The 46221 buoy is reading a SSW swell out of 204° at 3.3'.  Maybe a little too much south for most of the beach breaks, so we're calling it 2' to 3' and poor to fair.  Things might be better tomorrow if you can get it before the hawk kicks up...
