Field Trip Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

It takes two to tango and the renowned dance couple of S. Burdett and O. Barahona, appear to be tripping the light fantastic around this blue offering.  Actually, the racks were too long for this rocket and Birdie needed Oscar to hold it while he did some touching up on some stray fiberglass strings.  This is Sandy's new ride and it's been dubbed "Blue Topaz."  Should be in the water next week!

A little hazy this morning with some foggy remnants in the low regions and 2 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore by 4.2kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassed.  The air temp was 51.4° and the water was 56.7°, just like winter.  High tide was at 10:17am +4.5' and low tide will follow late at 4:25pm +0.5'.  We have a west swell out of 265° at 3.6' and we'll call it 3' to 4'.  Some nice ones at the Hermosa Pier as the tide came up...

Didn't look that treacherous, but Hudson Ritchie got tagged on the chin and it looks like he'll need a few stitches.  Yes, it was Hudson who got rolled a couple of weeks ago and tweaked his neck.  Look at it this way:  He's working on those rugged good looks that he'll have in 10 years.  Don't look at it this way:  He's Danger Boy in training...

Keegan's tonight with the Pheasant Pluckers!  And a more pleasant group of pluckers, you'll never meet...

Whatever is eating you - must be suffering horribly...
