Lost Boys & Co...

Fig. 1.  The legendary "Cable Cars" trying to break.  This is looking out north-west of the Hermosa Pier.  It wasn't quite big enough...

Bumps all over this morning.  20 miles visibility under clear skies.  Winds were weird, creating chopped and diced conditions.  The air was a frigid 42.3° and the water was only relatively warmer at 56.8°.  But this is February and this is when it's supposed to be cold...  High tide early at 4:24am +5.3' and low tide will follow at 11:59am -0.4'.  The 46221 Buoy reports a west swell out of 269° at 4.3'.  We'll call it 3' to 4', sloppy and confused, but a few sneaking through...

Fig. 2.  Two native women, in the Nevada mountains, argue about who gets to ride in front.

"Hudson Lives"
But you couldn't be sure if you were reading all the posts this week.  Pick a rumor:
A.  He was found floating face down and unconscious.
B.  He was airlifted out.
C.  He broke his neck, back and coccyx.
D. He was bitten by a shark and almost bled to death.
E.  He no longer recognizes his favorite aunt.
F.  All of his hair fell out.
G.  He was wedged into the rocks and they couldn't get him out.
H.  He's still there.
I.  He's still in the hospital.
J.  He bit Danger Boy and they're both in the hospital with rabies.

Bottom line:  Despite a bruised neck, Hudson's fine and surfing up to his usual standards...
"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
