Fan Mail Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

From the archives, we have this photo of the now famous 5 hour lunch in Guatemala.  This is the chicken entrée about course number three which followed the soup course and  the hors d'oeuvres.  Between courses we compared firearms.  Our host Nathan and his crew all carried Glocks.  38's and 45's were the preferred armaments of the guests.  Of course everyone had machetes...  The machetes came in handy for the shrimp, pork and beef courses...

Cloudy with 7 miles visibility this morning.  Winds were on from the start at about 3.5kts and the sea surface was lightly chopped.  The air temp was 59.5˚ and the water was 64.2˚, as things try to warm up for the long weekend.  High tide was 5:58am +3.9' and low tide will follow at 11:58am +0.6'.  We have a weak SSW swell out of 198˚ at 2.6' and it's 1' on the shore.

Reminiscent of the blade TJ used for years, the Professor picked this one up to do some restoring.  It's not a machete, but that's our choice...

Remember we'll be out for the next couple of weeks and the report will resume around the 9th or 10th depending on how much jet-lag we can tolerate...
