Portmanteau Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Yes, El Salvador!  Land of the eternal rights... But no, there are a few lefts if you know where to look.  In this case it was right in front of "Roca Sunzal" at Playa El Tunco.  You could sit there sippin' your "Pilzener" and watch the little guys bounce off the lips and do their aerial acrobatics.  On this particular day it was glassy all day long.  Que regalo!

Here in Southern California we're gearing up for a week of warm and the waves are responding by gettin' mo' smaller.  Winds are off by 10.2kts and the sea surface was smooth.  20 miles visibility under cloudless skies.  The air temp was already 67.3˚ at 6am and the water temperature was 60.6˚.  High tide was at 8:45am +4.0' and low tide will be at 2:09pm +1.2'.  We have a diminishing 3.0' swell out of the SSW 195˚.  It's 1' to 2' and the kids here were just like the ones in El Salvador, rippin' despite the less than stellar conditions...
