How Is Thursday A Thing Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

This dinner upstairs at Christian's in Chacahua devolved into a domino game that went on for almost three hours.  By the time we left for our digs it was dark and we had to rely on the moon after we left the one street light at the collectivo pick up station.  A warm night with surprisingly few bugs it was kinda nice picking our way through the village...

Hazy sun this morning with 15 miles visibility and a few high clouds.  Winds were trying to be offshore by 2.3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp said 48º on our plastic weather station located in the orange tree outside the window, but it was officially 55.5º somewhere in Redondo.  At the 46221 NOAA station it was 58.3º and at the Hermosa Pier it was 64º in the water.  All this temperature stuff sounds remarkably relative...  High tide was at 10:33am +4.6' and low tide will follow at 4:33pm +0.6'.  We had a west swell out of 270º at 3.3' and it looked a little better at 3' to 4' on the outside...

LoLa gets in some hammoca time with the mid point in the break in the background...  Read until you fall asleep, wake up and repeat...

The Professor on this ear-high bump as Capt. Don Congrejo paddles out after an arm wearying paddle back out to the takeoff spot.  If you stay out long enough you start wondering if you have enough arm strength to paddle into one to go in on...
