Suddenly It's Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

So it's time to leave Chacahua and we took the collectivo' to the dock and caught the launch back to Zipotelito.  This looks like something you'd find on Tom Sawyer's island.  When there are people waiting, they put a plastic bag on a pole that sticks out into the channel and the launch knows that it should stop!  No walkie-talkies, no cell phones, no smoke signals...

Clear, cold and sunny with a weak spring sun trying it's best.  20 miles visibility and the winds were offshore by 2.3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp is 51.2 and the water is 57.0 at the buoy.  Low tide was at 11:04 +0.7' and high tide will follow at 6:25pm +3.2'.  We have a 3.0' swell out of 192º SSW and it's too oblique for our beaches, so we've got 2' mushers that would be perfect to push your cousin from Connecticut into...  For you, however, go get coffee...

Whenever you're in Zicatela, eating at Taco Brown's is a must.  Just make sure you bring your appetite.  We ordered the "special de casa" and had to share...

If it wasn't before, this is now the pictograph for surfboard repair...  Not that the two pieces shown would fit together...  He must be pretty good!
