Fish head soup.  Nice to be in a place where they don't mind throwing an entire beast into the soup.  Things haven't been the same since they stopped stewing missionaries...

15 miles visibility with the odd cloud rolling through.  Winds were offshore by 8 kts this morning and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 50.6 and the water was 56.7 very spring-like degrees.  Low tide was at 9:40am +0.9' and High tide will be at 5:11pm +2.8'.  We have a SSW swell out of 199º at 3.3' and it was a rollicking 2', despite the big wind swell event we had yesterday.  What a difference a day makes...

If you're itching to get into a hot balero tournament, Coach Barrio can get you signed up and provide the balero.  In the meantime you can just rent one of his stellar surfboards, with or without the back half...  Kinda funny, you only see the front end of broken boards used as signs.  Maybe with the fins and everything there's just too much going on to be effective signage...  But we're still looking...

In the midst of Puerto Escondido, we came across this Italian gelato place with the inscription, "Smile, Surf and Eat Gelato."  Remember more than 25% of all Mexicans don't speak Spanish...  We thought it was mostly the native Indians, but then again...
