Lost Boys & Co...

Today's photos feature DB and BD.  Mike Ginther pulled out his camera and got some nice snaps of a few of the boys at Knob Hill and Sappharua.  Yep, Danger Boy is pulling a nice bottom turn as he tries to skate away from some falling water and Buck is cruising for the inside section.  That's his new stick and he was catching a ton of waves.  He says he's most impressed by how fast and far it will go.  That might be because he's got a bit more weight than his last surfboard.  He says it's also more stable in the white water.  It's kinda nice to know that lighter isn't always better!

Hazy and overcast this morning with about 6 or 7 miles visibility.  Winds are calm and the sea surface is smooth with a slight roll.  The air temperature is 61.2° and the water is 63.3° at the buoy.  Anything is better than the temps on Saturday as the water plummeted to the low 60's.  Blue people were getting out of the water and running up the beach to get warm.  Low tide is at 6:02am +4.9' and high tide will be at 12:32pm +4.9'.  The buoy is reading a 2.6' swell out of 200° SSW and we're calling it 2' and poor.  Speaking of that cool water, Buck and the Professor discovered a foam line at Sapphire, where the water was 60° on the beach side of the foam and 68° on the other.  You could sit with one foot in the warm and the other in the chill.

Looks like it might clear up later today, so drink that coffee, finish your morning chores and check it out this afternoon!
