Macadamia Nut Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Our photo this morning features the latest addition to the Lost Boys list.  Yes, it's none-other than ace shaper and surfer José Barahona!  José took over shaping all of the custom and stock boards from Phil Becker (Becker Surfboards - ever heard of them?)  Phil shaped a bunch of boards, but José has shaped more than 15,000 himself!  He's our shaping guru, so if you have any questions regarding surfboards or shaping, let us know and we'll get the answer for you!

Fog was slipping in and out this morning, so visibility ran from 100 yards to 15 miles depending on where you were.  It's pretty much burned off now.  Winds are calm and the sea surface was glassy.  The air temperature was 65.8° and the water is 65.3°.  High tide will be at 8:47am +4.1' and low tide will be at 1:37pm +2.5'.  The 46221 buoy is reading a 2.6' SSW swell out of 210° and the resulting waves are 1' to 3'.  Fun before the winds jump up!
