Here's a nice sunrise shot right out of the tube as we met the morning at Sappharua. Did we include the photo?
A beautiful summer's morning! 20 miles visibility and clear skies. The wind is lightly onshore by 2.5kts and the sea surface had just the smallest bump to it. The air temperature was 66.2° and the water was 68.7° heading to at least the low 70's. High tide was at 10:08am +4.0' and low tide will be at 2:52pm +2.3'. The buoy is reading a 3.6' swell out of the SSW (201°) and we're calling the waves a steady 2' to 3' with a little larger outsides. Fun until the tide has it's way.
Boomfwappa gave the Professor some shit the other day about getting a part-time job or volunteering for a meaningful cause. The Professor responds:
I was just wondering what Boomfwappa doesn't understand about retirement.. I worked for 34 years at my last job (and 13 years at various other jobs before that) so I wouldn't have to work any more. Why the hell would I want a part-time job? Also what's this stuff about a meaningful cause? I worked in higher education trying to give folks a good start in life, not making bombs or being your basic merchant of death. Geez, you miss two surf reports and you become a hedonist!
