Lost Boys & Co...

What the hell is this thing? (photo #1)  Found it on the launch-pad in Florida under the rocket that I am loading with fuel.  I'm thinking this thing wants to go home?  Well, I just wanted to say, once I find a match for the rocket I will be flying home next week Yaaaaaaaaaaa!
(Wow, that's gotta be some match!  Ed.)

Partly cloudy this morning with 10 miles visibility.  Winds were calm and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature is 64.4° and the water is a delightful 67.8° (still being perfect for a springer!)  High tide is at 9:55am +6.5' and low tide will be at 4:55pm -0.5'.  The #46221 buoy is reading a 3.0' swell out of the SW (224°) and we're calling it 3' to 4'.  We surfed Torrance beach with Tyrone James this morning and he was ripping it up.  He got a couple of lefts that started out looking pretty wally and made them with room to spare.  He's been riding that yellow Matt Calvani Becker and he can really make it go.

Photos #2 and #3 are portraits of Tim and Buck taking a break on the deck at Mrs. Larkin's house.  After Mr. Larkin's funeral everyone headed back and spent the afternoon visiting.  Considering most folks hadn't seen each other in 20 years it was pretty sweet.  Actually, the funeral service was really nice.  Everyone was getting up and saying, "I was Bob's favorite grandson," or "I was Bob's favorite cousin," or "I was Bob's favorite golf partner."  Buck even got up and introduced himself as "Bob's favorite friend of the family."  The Professor was going into "warm and fuzzy" overload, when he took the mic and announced that Bob never liked him.  This resulted in a collective gasp from all of the favored folk.  The Professor suggested that if Bob was going to heaven it was because, even though Bob wasn't crazy about the Professor, he tolerated him.  This got some nods from the "amen" section.  So after the service the Professor was approached by various parishioners and family seeking to invite him into the fold.  He waved a form at them that he had filled out in the pew to join the congregation and receive more information.  What he didn't show them was that he had put Buck's name on the form...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
