It's fall up in the north country and we took this shot as we jumped headfirst into a huge pile of similarly colored leaves. As you can tell we were getting pretty close to touchdown when we snapped this shot...
A beautiful morning here in the southland though, sunny and predicted to reach the 70's. 20 miles visibility and high clouds. Winds are offshore by 3.2kts and the sea surface is smooth with a light tack on the outside. The air temperature is 69.1° and the water is 67.1°, still really nice in your spring suit. High tide was at 6:28am +4.0' and low tide was at 11:26am +3.2'. The swell is predominantly out of the west by 260° and the buoy is calling it 2.6'. We're calling it 3' and it looked every bit of that as we surfed the Hermosa Pier this morning.
Our second shot this morning is of our favorite thespian, Allison Burke (right) in her roll as "Dr. Emmett" in John Patrick's "Curious Savage." She is shown here trying to figure out what Ethel Savage (played brilliantly by Sarah Priddy) did with 10 million in negotiable bonds. Allison, follows in the footsteps of her sister Rebecca who was in the cast of "You Can't Take It With You" last year. Allison is part of the "Fourth Wall Players" at Eagle High School in Eagle, Idaho. Okay, so it IS a bit off-Broadway, but you have to start SOMEWHERE!
