Third Rail Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We were thinking the other night about all of the places that wouldn't do so well in a tsunami.  Kinda like Roessler pool.  Can you imagine that one minute you're doing laps in this crystal clear warm aquatic environment and the next you're flying past Haggerty's at 20kts and wondering what it's going to be like when you start heading back toward shore.

Beautiful day today!  17 miles visibility under a hazy fall sun.  Winds stayed offshore all morning at 3.9kts and the sea surface was a most excellent glassiness.  The air temp was 64.4° and the water is 68.4°.  High tide was at 8:31am +5.0' and low tide will follow at 2:24pm +1.3'.  The buoy is reading a 2.3' swell out of the SSW at 207° and we're calling the waves a clean and glassy 1' to 3' with screaming little peelers.  But you could slice'em - yeah, you could!

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
