Windy Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

In some places summer is really over and you can't even get into the old swimming hole.  Allison Burke is taking a long look, remembering some of those summer days!

Hazy skies with 20 miles visibility this morning.  Still windy with 13.6kt gusts and choppy seas.  The wind is straight out of the north, so if you can find someplace to hide and a sunny corner, you can warm right up!  The air temperature is 61.5° and the water has dropped a few to 63.9°.  High tide was at 7:03am +4.7' and low tide will be at 12:59pm +2.1'.  The buoy is reading a swell out of the west at 272° and 5.2'.  We're calling it 3' to 5' with some nice thick outsides.  Topaz had some powerful sets coming through and Burnout was pounding.  Check it out!

Our second shot is of Sapphire and Topaz.  We surfed Sapphire this morning, while the wind blew side-shore the whole time.  It wasn't epic, but there were some good waves.  The water has dropped to low-springsuit, high longsuit temperatures.  You gotta make the call!
