Christmas Eve Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Right outside of the Yosemite Lodge and up the river a bit is a gentle bend.  The sun had just peeked over the southern rim and was casting a reflection there, that made it look like the star that it really is.  Merry Christmas & Happy New to all of the Lost Boys & Company.

A beautiful clear morning, with a chilly offshore blowing.  25 miles visibility, with little or no haze.  Winds are from 3.6 to 5.6kts and the sea surface is smooth.  The air temp is 45.0° (and feels like it!) and the water is 58.5° and feels colder.  Low tide is at 9:38am +2.3' and high tide will follow at 2:23pm +3.0'.  The 46221 buoy is reading a 3.0' swell out of 261° W.  The resulting surf is in the 2' to 3' range and rather gorgeous with some sparkling manes and well manicured lines.  We surfed Hermosa this morning and it was well worth the chill!

Okay!  So we're off to Boise in the am tomorrow after we open all of our swag from the fat man.  Here's hoping there are some great waves over the break!  We'll be back New Year's Eve for some Kincaid's action (4pm in the bar) and hope to see everyone there!  As we are fond of saying, "You're beautiful, don't ever change."

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
