Whalebone Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

There's just something about Hermosa at night that says Christmas...

Chilly, but beautiful this morning.  25 miles visibility with some high wispy clouds.  Winds are offshore by 2.7kts and the sea surface is glassy.  The air temperature at checkout was 50.0° and the water is 59.5°.  High tide is at 8:13am +6.3' and low tide will be significantly low at 3:37pm -0.9'.  We have a 2.3' swell out of 269° west and the waves, when they get through the high tide are about 1' to 3'.  Of all the places we checked Torrance looked the best...

Dudes and Dudeettes,
Hi.  I went to Mammoth and hit the big storm and thus had powder Fri, Sat and Sun...and although there was wind we could ride the lifts without freezing.  Yesterday was Sunny but the fresh snow in most places had a crust on it from the wind so even the new stuff up high (they only had low lifts open the other days) it was not fun for me.

I ended up going out at Torrance at around 10:00 am with Luke.  Pretty fun for awhile.  Then it got nasty on the inside.
(It's always nasty on the inside, according to Boomfwappa...  Ed.)
