Feeling A Lot Like Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Here's a shot of Sappharua breaking just about even with the end of the jetty.  There were some bigger ones...

Bumped and uneven this morning, with 12 miles visibility under clear, cloudless skies.  Winds blew all night and then abruptly around 5:30am, stopped and turned offshore.  Sporadic intervals of off, on and profound calm ensued, while the sea surface remained bumped and chaotic.  We kept waiting for it to even out, but it defied our patience.  The air temp at checkout was 55.1° and the water temp has plummeted to 54.7°.  We weren't expecting we'd be going back to booties until November - we just got through throwing them back into the car...  High tide is at 8:07am +3.9' and a not-so-low tide follows at 1:48pm +1.0'.  The buoy is reading a west swell out of 277° fat at 6.2'.  Lots of waves in that range maxing at about 7'-8'.  Bumpy though - be ready to bandage those kidneys...  Tomorrow (despite the predictable crowds) it could be good...

Then there's William & Kate.  Pretty much the storybook wedding we expected.  What we really liked was his little goddaughter Gracie, who was a bit put off that she had to get up early and miss the cartoons on the telly.  We've been bouncing his application around the office for a while now.  On the surface he seems like a perfect candidate for the Lost Boys.  But the uniform, the titles, the fam... kinda, almost too much.  If Gracie sends an app. she's in for sure, but Willy...  We're thinking, we're thinking...

Finally, Fuzzini was back on the right coast and noticed that they were having a "favorite sweatshirt" sale.  And 20% off at that!  But we already have a favorite sweatshirt.  And it kinda begs the question of how you can have a favorite sweatshirt without already owning it?
