Lost Boys & Co...

And a Happy Birthday it is to our own Annie "LoLa" Paine.  No matter how hard she tries, she'll never catch up to the Professor, who just happens to be really old.  In Photo 1.  She is shown with her Portuguese cabaña boy Marco (who is visibly food-drunk from the eats at Gourmet Foods open house,) Gen Carlisle, Kenny "the Flying Torpedo" Norris, Marcel & Athlyn Lagnaz.

A gray spring morning we have today, with 10 miles visibility under a pretty heavy overcast.  Winds were calm at checkout and the sea surface was smooth.  Should pick up during the day with 8 to 10 kts winds out of the WSW.  The air temp was 58.2° and the water is unrepentant at 57.2°.  Low tide was at 6:45am -0.9' and high tide will follow at 1:22pm +3.5'.  The 46221 buoy is reading a SSW swell out of 202° true at 3.3'.  It's still a bit too south and we're getting about 2' of that total.  Still some waves if you were patient like Don Swift and Andrew, who were scoring a few sneakers at Sandyland.  Anybody look at Malibu lately...?

After Tuesday's celebration for Nick Corsinita, we got asked to run the photo we had mentioned of Nick at the beach.  Always having a weakness for blondes, he's shown here doing curls with his first wife Agnes.  He was fond of describing her as, "A natural blonde, with dimples."  We were told that this was taken at Venice Beach, but it could've been Coney Island.  They moved to California in 1943 and this looks pre-'43 to us...
