Tamarack Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Weird gravity here in Eagle, Idaho.  The girls just didn't look the same as we remembered...

Snow at Brundage Mountain, just north of McCall was fantastic.
Amazing Facts!:
1.  Tons of snow (hard to know in feet, but it looked like maybe 4' to 6' with a dusting of fresh powder every morning we were there (Sat, Sun, Mon.)
2.  Elevation:  7640'.
3.  Crowds:  Saturday:  1475 (including all of the 92 entrants in the "Pond Skimming" contest, which was won by the "Blue Depends" Super hero - yes he had a cape.)  Sunday: 531 (beautiful day - partly cloudy - excellent snow all over the mountain.  With 531 skiers you begin to see the same people all day long.  Lots of empty chairs on all runs.)  Monday:  83  (EIGHTY THREE PEOPLE!  By the end of the day we knew everyone's name and could recognize them by their outfits.  Mostly empty chairs.  Crazy!)
4.  Marco thinks that this is how skiing is.  He has no idea there is a place like Mammoth.
5.  Same time next year...

Be back in RB tomorrow with the fresh surf report!
