Teeny Boat Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Just like your basic ducks in a row, we have a bunch of sabots making for the "K" mark.  They usually stick to the inside of the harbor, so being out there that far is a little daunting.  Wait until they jibe around and have a bit more push behind them!  Then they'll be moving down-wind and things will be appropriately exciting.  Fun stuff...

So, the swell looks a little bigger this morning and we can see it, even though skies are hazy and we have only about 6 miles visibility.  Winds are out of the WSW by 3.3kts freshening to 10 to 15kts this afternoon and we've got a light surface chop going.  The air temperature is 64.1° and the water is 66.0°.  Don't know what got into us yesterday, but we went body surfing at 27th street Hermosa and it was "refreshing," but not too refreshing.  As long as you're moving...  Low tide is early at 5:16am +0.5' and high tide will be at 11:34am +4.9'.  We have a SW swell out of 219° at 3.0' and we seem to be getting most of that, with a little more push and slightly bigger waves on the odd set.  Supposed to be the peak of the swell pulse tomorrow - check it out!   Also, you might want to take a look this afternoon when the tide starts to drop.  If the wind doesn't get too crazy, there could be some nice ones...  ✠
