Waves Are Coming Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

So, LoLa and the Professor are heading down to El Salvador in October and they thought it would be a good idea to get the recommended panel of shots.  Turns out the Professor has had either the shots or the diseases already, so he only needed the typhoid shot.  The nurse was this kind, middle-aged, matronly looking woman.  She asked the Professor what arm he'd prefer to have inoculated.  He said,  "The left." and rolled up his sleeve.  She looked at the heart he has tattooed on his shoulder and said, "This is as good as a bullseye!"  Sticking him, she then continued, "Last week I had this guy come in and he had a big tattoo of Jesus face on his arm.  I stuck Jesus right in the eye!"   Okay, okay, it's one thing to have a nurse with a sense of humor,  it's entirely something else to have a satanist working on you...  Thank you nurse Mengele, that will be all...

Overcast this morning with 10 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore early at 2.7kts with a smooth sea surface and then changed early.  The air temperature was 64.0° and the water is 63.7°.  Low tide is early at 5:02am +0.3' and high tide will be at 11:20am +6.0'.  The buoy is just starting to catch a bit of the SSW swell at 3.3' out of 206°.  It was a little under 3', but it's been building all day and Manhattan has been having periodic sets that were brushing the bottom of the pier...  Check it out in the am, before the wind...

Meanwhile, Vinny Imbriale is on the Southshore and sent some shots of the same places the Professor showed a couple of weeks ago.  It's looking about twice the size!  We'll run a few more tomorrow!.

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it...
