Tergiversation Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

They had us fooled when we got to Idaho last week.  They told us this (photo 1.) was the sun and we almost fell for it.  It was the leaves that gave it away...  It's a sunflower!

A light overcast this morning breaking into sunshine around 10am.  Winds were offshore at checkout at 3.8kts and the sea surface was lightly brushed.  The air temperature was 64.1° and the water dropped another couple of ticks to 63.9°.  Mark the Poolman told us that folks were trunking it up until yesterday - you know we'd miss it!  High tide was at 10:44am +5.8' and low tide was at 4:50pm +0.4'.  From the SSW we have a swell at 203° at 3.3' and the surf was a fun 3' with some nice long peelers running all the way to the beach.  Rasta Pete told us that Hermosa's been on all week and today looked fun as well...

Photo 2. features the latest addition to the clan, Ms. Lily Panda-Cheeseburger, being held by great-grand-Grank.   Obviously, there is a paucity of melanin in the northern branch of the family.  The Professor would spirit Lily out and sun bathe with her until mum and grandma would find them and send them inside.  It was a great game and Lily learned how to clap just to show her appreciation!
