Two-Stroke Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Okay, so you go to the beach this summer and this is how you dress.  Hoodies, sweatpants and Bonnie Burt has opted for a Torrance Medical Center blanket instead of her bikini.  Mike Hoye, has pressed the envelope by wearing a T-shirt.  You know those hot-blooded types...

Overcast this morning breaking into sun around 10:30am and 12 miles visibility.  Winds were off at checkout by 3.4kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was a brisk 63.0° and the water was 65.7°.  All of that added up to a bit of a chill and a springer is almost not enough...  High tide is at 8:09am +3.8' and low tide will bottom out at 12:36pm +2.9'.  Once again not much difference.  The buoy is reading a SSW swell out of 209° true at 3.0'.  We got some nice little ones on odd sets about 2' to 3'.  Look  in the pm if you have time...

Then, of course, you can always seek shelter out of the elements, like this group of stalwarts.  We feature, Carol, Paver, Diane, Danger Boy, LoLa, Danger Girl, Edrina and Sandy Q.O.S.  Our server Mark is out of the pic, but is an integral part of the group...  This Friday the group will end up at Keegan's for an appearance of "Boomfwappa and the Sinatra Slayers."  Details forthcoming...   ✠
