Another Thought Experiment Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

When you've seen thousands of boards, what makes one that really stands out?  Jimmy Barahona, said he couldn't explain it, but this was it.  The flash made it look bluer than it appeared in person, an almost black blue.  It looked like a stealth bomber, with perfect rails, no bumps, wings or widgets.  Ché, just smiled...

A warm Southern California winter's day.  A little smoggy, but eminently breathable and 20 miles visibility with nary a cloud in sight.  Winds were variable, having a hard time deciding from which direction they preferred to blow.  Mostly 2.3kts out of the WSW and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was 55.6° and the water was 57.7°.  High tide is at 10:36am +4.9' and low tide will follow at 5:12pm +0.1'.  We have a west swell out of 265° at 3.6' and it was an inconsistent 3' to 4' at most places.  Supposed to get bigger and better mañana...  Check it out amigo...

Another thing you can do with a 55 gallon drum and a torch...
