More Fun Than A Barrell Of Fridays Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Things are a little different in California.  For example photo #1 shows what it looks like when you're late for class.  Everyone else is sitting on their boards ready for action and you still have to paddle out.  (Actually, if you're late you get a tardy and Coach Avery docks you 20 points!)  Photo #2 shows what it's like to get an "A".  This is Jen Doyle finding one of the better lefts that came through this morning...

25 miles visibility this morning under orange juice skies and nary a cloud in sight.  Winds were off by 5.4kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temp was a chilly 50.0° and the water continues to be an unseasonably warm59.0°.  Once again today it went up to 61° in the pm.  Low tide kicks off the morning at 5:30am and high tide follows at 11:17am +4.8'.  The buoy shows a SW swell out of 234° at 2.0'.  Danger Boy and the Professor caught the Hermosa Pier at 2' to 3' and got some fun little scooters on the north side.
