Terra Firma Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Like, totally random...  (Birdie and Oscar were telling us about art students that come and photograph their shoes!  Wait... that could be our next project...)

Freeze-ass cold.  Ask Danger Boy, he'll tell you.  But it was clear and you could see as far as you wanted.  And the wind was offshore by 2.9kts and the sea surface was that perfect offshore brushed satin finish.  Just enough wind to blow up some nice manes as the waves galloped down the beach.  The air temperature was a molasses stopping 44.1˚ and the water was colder than a Northern Irish beer at 55.2˚.  High tide was at 11:15am +5.0' and low tide will be at 5:54pm -0.1'.  We have a west swell out of 269˚ at 2.0' at the 46221 buoy.  It was just about that big, with a few fatter outsides.  DB and the Professor decided the sun was making the rest of the ingredients just right for a bit of a go-out south of the Hermosa Pier.  It was scenic, but the first time you went over a cresting wave the spray turned into miniature snowballs and beat the shit out of you.  Okay, that's a bit of hyperbole, but it was cold, making for a short session.  Some good little sneakers though...

The best part:  Ivan's coffee and Juan's tortas...  Yowzummm!
