It's A Win On Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

It's been kinda like #'s 1 & 2 all week long.  A bit walled up on the lower half of the tide and then a bit peakier at the top half.  Also we've had that hazy sun with about 10 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore by 3.3kts and the sea surface is smooth.  Air and water temps are holding at 45 for the air and 59.7 for the water.  Low tide was at 6:25am +2.1' and high tide is at 12:10pm +4.8'.  We have a WSW swell out of 241º at 3.0' and it was 3' to 5' with a lot of close-outs and zippers across the playing field...

And the field was crowded this morning with Redondo High surfing against the combined squads of South and West high schools.  Sporting one of the deepest teams we've seen in recent history, Redondo won 94 to 53.  There were some outstanding performances with 1st's by Kade Kauffman, Matt Pogue, Kierra Fedio, Kevin Elliott, Deborah Mendiha, Ben Oien and Jonathan Fox.  A really fun team to watch, we'll let you know when they have their next competition!

#3  "Cat On A Hot Convertible Roof"  One of Tennessee Williams lesser known plays and the critically panned sequel to "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof."  Neither has anything to do with "Cats" which is also facing withering criticism despite featuring Taylor Swift and Judy Dench....  or because of...

Then, there's Happy Hour.  YES, Happy hour this week will be at Patrick Malloy's so that Tarsan doesn't have to keep track of all the glasses and appetizers...  5:30pm and we'll try to grab the patio...  Dress warmly!🔥
