Once Upon A Full Moon Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

It's a full moon Friday and it was shining in it's full glory this morning as it plummeted into the Pacific (#1).  We're always surprised when people look shocked that the moon and the sun are in the sky at the same time.  People, LOOK UP!

Now of course, if you look to the east, the sun is coming up (#2) and our dedicated surf heroes are getting into their wetsuits to meet the day...  If you were there you'd know that the air temp was 43.0 and the water is 59.9.  Kinda chilly.  Clear skies with some high clouds and 10 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore by 3.4kts, which drove the ambient temps down a bit, but the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  High tide was at 8:09am +6.6' and low tide followed at 3:28pm -1.4'.  We had a 3.9' swell out of 267º west and it was a rocking 4' to 6' and there were some good ones if you were careful...

The tide was washing over the rocks (#3), but there's always hope as you're making your way down the walkway...
