Another St. Patrick's Day Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

And it's a Happy St. Patrick's to you all...

Well, it certainly is doing it's best to look like Ireland this morning, what with the rain and all.   But the rainbows were in full force suggesting that there is hope somewhere.  We had more than a few pics, since the show kept changing minute to minute, but here are a couple of our faves (#1 & #2) taken by LoLa on her walk/run this morning...

Raining pretty heavily this morning at checkout, with limited visibility and winds out of the east by 3.2kts.  The sea surface was bumped and 59.9 with the air at 48.3.  Low tide is at 12:31pm -0.1' and high tide will be late at 7:39pm +3.6'.  We have a SSW swell out of 204º at 3.3', but it's got too much south to really help us out.  Supposed to really blow tomorrow afternoon and maybe that will tweak the weather pattern around...

From Ireland we head to Russia (#3)...  No, wait...  This is Trader Joe's in the Village, where they're currently letting only 35 people in at a time.  They're also limiting the quantities of some items that they've deemed necessities.  The line stretched from the front door down to Starbucks, around the corner and down the driveway of the bank.  Everyone was well behaved and most were visiting in line with their fellow citizens (at a respectful distance.)

Finally, we'll add this quote from St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta (she's a saint in our book, right up there with Mary See and Margot Sullivan.)  Our favorite part is "If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives."  She might have borrowed this from Mark Twain, who thought it was the best way to keep people off-balance...

We have been chided about suggesting that there could possibly be a Happy Hour during this difficult time.  Apparently ANY gathering is currently suspect, so we'll be holding off this week and playing it by ear as things progress.  Stay healthy, stay happy and stay thirsty friends...
