Uncharted Territory Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Suffering from Boomer-disease, we are taking our time downloading some video to our report.  The clip we have included is from Puerto Escondido (Playa Zicatela).  If it works you get to see this guy fly out of the wave with a bit of spray on his back (this happens roughly on every other wave here.)  If it doesn't...we'll keep on trying...

10 miles visibility this morning with varying amounts of clouds.  Winds were consistent offshore by 5.0kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 53.0 and the water is 59.7.  High tide was early at 4:19am +4.7' and low tide will be at 12:19pm +0.0' starting a week of minus pm low tides.  We have a SSW swell out of 201ºat 3.0' and it was 3' to 4' with some nice waves...

Photo #2 is the dock at Zapotalito as we pull away on our voyage to the enchanted island of Chacahua...  Tom Sawyer had nothing on this...

Photo #3 is about halfway on the trip navigating through the mangrove swamp.  The mangrove roots dye the water a shade of strong tea.  At night, throughout the lagoon, the water is full of bio-luminescent organisms.  We went swimming one night and it was a lot like our old red tides...

Greenbelt this Friday for your happy hour pleasure...  Already thinking about the sangria...
