Perhaps Perchance Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Elegant and graceful, here (#1) we have Milly Horstman demonstrating the proper method of backside cross-stepping.  Notice how her feet are slightly perpendicular to the board to maintain stability and it just looks good to boot!  This was Saturday and the whole crew was out.  We'll thrill you with some other shots throughout the week!  And a special thanks to our photographer Sabrina Coco, who's stated goal is to be the videographer of the Redondo Surf Team.  She'll be a freshman this year and has some serious photographic skills!  (Take note Coach Avery!)

Meanwhile, it was small this morning with some thick air and low overcast causing things to be damp and slick.  7 miles visibility and no wind.  The sea surface was smooth to glassy and the Junior Lifeguards were leaping from the ramparts of the pier.  The air was 64.4º and the water is 66.7º.  Low tide was at 6:00am straight up -0.6' and high tide will be at 12:43pm +3.9'.  It's a piddly 2.6' SSW swell out of 199º and if you were lucky you got a 2' and not a 1'...
