Return Return Tuesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
Boy, the South Bay is sure a great place to visit! Yeah, we're back and there were some little waves to boot...
Some hazy sun, but nothing like the smoke in Idaho from the fires in Oregon. 15 miles visibility here and light wind in the 2 to 3kt range. Light texture on the surface. The air temperature was 60.0ºand the water at the buoy is 61.3 frigid degrees. It's not that cold in the surf, but it's still 65-66 and you need some rubber to be comfortable. High tide was at 7:50am +3.3' and low tide is at 11:32am +2.7'. There's a combo swell out of mainly SSW 195º at 3.0' and that's about what it was for a fun summer morning go-out.
We remember when they'd run some pics in Surfer magazine where they'd jack the image so it would look steeper and more critical. Here (#1) we have our feeble attempt to make it look better. It may also have something to do with our photographic prowess? So does it look better or worse?
