Lost Boys & Co...
We're checking out the surf this afternoon and right between Avenue B and Avenue C is parked the county jail bus. We don't know if the driver was just checking the surf, or eating his lunch or someone had left and was wandering around on the beach without his bus pass. Kind of an arresting sight just the same... *smirk*
Clear skies this morning and 20 miles visibility. Winds started out the morning onshore by 7.8kts and the sea surface was tacked up. The air was a bracing 47.9° and the water seemed a lot warmer even though it was 56.5°. High tide was way early at 3:31am +5.1' and low tide followed at 11:34am -0.4'. Our new buoy (#46221) was reading a swell out of 259° W at 3.6'. It was 4' at Topaz and the Avenues and we got some chest to shoulder high rollers at the Cove. Possibility of rain tomorrow, but the swell is supposed to remain between 2' and 4'.
