St. Wenceslas Wednesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
The world is going crazy. We stopped by Mrs Campbell's last night and all of her lights were out. It couldn't have been a blown fuse, because half of Redondo would have gone down with her. Instead we got this shot of a place behind Calle Mayor Middle School. This photo doesn't do it justice. Since it was blinking randomly in 14 different sections they aren't all lit at once. The best part was that the owner of the house was ensconced in the middle of this display watching the cars go by and the general mayhem that was happening while folks tried to squeeze into that little street to get a look. A right maniacal bastard he had a grin like the Grinch...
Cloudy the Christmas Eve morning with 20 miles visibility under heavy clouds which are supposed to give way to rain this afternoon. The wind at 6am was off at 7.8kts and the sea surface was smooth, with a bit of a light roll. The air temperature is 52.3℉ and the water is 58.1℉. High tide will be at 6:53am +5.6' and low tide will follow at 2:22pm -0.5'. The buoy is registering 2.3' and the tide is floating it to the point of not breaking. Wait until the tide goes out for your early Christmas gift!
We were talking about maniacal grins and here we have a shot of Boomfwappa after doing some serious damage to the Professor's store of 100 proof eggnog. The missing tooth is the result of Boomfwappa's refusal to give way to a piece of tenacious French bread.
