Wiener Dog Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Another late report!  We're so ashamed.  We'll try harder tomorrow...  We had a bloody hand!  Is that a good excuse?  The fin cut us.  It was really deep...

So, the morning started out raining and it's kept it up ever since.  Visibility is about 3 miles and varies as the squalls move through.  This morning at 6am, winds were out of the NNE by 17.5kts and there was a strong reverse chop going on.  Don't see that too often.  The air temperature was 53.2℉ and the water was 59.2℉.  With this front moving through we can't imagine it'll stay there, but it would be nice.  Low tide is at 6:42am +2.3' and high tide will be at 12:28pm +4.9'.  The buoy is reading 3.6' and the surf is barely breaking.  The swell has done a 45 degree change and now instead of long loopy lefts, we've got the perfect conditions for long loopy rights.  That is if there were waves...  Maybe tomorrow...

Okay, so it was a fin cut, but we did it while tying up our leash.  You know how slippery everything is in the inside there?  Well, we lost control of our stick and voila', we got bit.  Looked cool though...

Then we were on our way back from drawing with Jordan, when we went by the refinery and they were blowing out this great flame.  When we blew up the photo we noticed the flag and how it just shouted "PROGRESS!"  So that's why we titled the photo "Waste Gas."  Something titled "Progress" would have to be a bit more inspirational.

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
